Seoul, August 16, 2019 – Suprema, a global leader in biometrics and security, announced that the company launches XPass 2 series Mobile and RFID IP readers. The new addition of IP readers will provide the extended capability to the company’s new mobile credential service.
XPass 2 readers are compact IP-based RFID readers featuring BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy), NFC, dual-frequency RFID and rugged IP67/IK08 structure, optimized for the company’s newly launched mobile credential service. These new IP readers are compatible with 125kHz and 13.56MHz RF cards including EM, MIFARE(plus), DESFire(EV1) and FeliCa standards. In addition, all readers read BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy), and NFC signals hence cover most of current Android smartphones and iPhone models.
XPass 2 readers come in 3 models to meet various project requirements and installation environments. XP2-MDB features a mullion-type structure and XP2-GDB and XP2-GKDB models are gangbox-sized form factor, and XP2-GKDB model comes with 3 x 4 keypads to support PIN authentication. To ensure reliable operation under dynamic installation environments, all XPass 2 readers feature rugged structure with range-leading IP67 weather-proof and IK08 vandal-proof certifications. Moreover, XPass 2 readers provide extra durability under extreme temperatures with operating temperature between -30° to 65°C (-22℉ to 149℉).
