Seoul, Korea, Apr 5, 2017 – Suprema, a global leader in biometrics and security, announced that the company launches FaceStation 2 the world’s fastest and most advanced face recognition technology at ISC West 2017.

At the show, Suprema launches FaceStation 2, the company’s the latest and flagship face recognition terminal which is designed for use in access control and time & attendance applications. The new FaceStation 2 is loaded with Suprema’s latest face recognition technology providing the world’s best performance in terms of matching speed, user capacity and operating illuminance. On the biometric side, the new technology performs fast face matching of 3,000 matches per second, which makes FaceStion 2 the world’s fastest facial recognition terminal to the date. Suprema’s new face recognition technology has been improved by enhanced algorithm, new optical structure and class leading 1.4GHz quad-core CPU. As a result, matching speed has been improved by 300% than the FaceStation, its predecessor. On the optical side, the new face recognition technology now overcomes possible interference from dynamic lighting conditions including sunlight and ambient light. The new technology now allows greater range of operating illuminance from zero lux to 25,000 lux which covers almost every possible lighting conditions regardless of indoor or outdoor, day or night.

On its wide touchscreen LCD, FaceStation 2 offers industry’s most intuitive graphic user interface. Thanks to the latest Android 5.0 OS, FaceStation 2 features latest material design concept to provide extremely easy to use GUI requiring near-zero training for both users and system administrators.

For RF card support, FaceStation 2 features dual-frequency, multi-card reading technology. The device features both LF(125kHz) and HF(13.56MHz) RFID and reads most types of RFID card standards with a single device including MIFARE, HID iCLASS, DESFire, FeliCa, HID Prox, EM and NFC. For the first time in face terminals, FaceStation 2 also supports authentication by BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy) which makes it future-proof investment for today’s evolving credential technology.
